Q1.    Can anybody buy your parts?

A.    Yes but it is highly recommended that if you are not a qualified television engineer then you take your equipment to somebody who is. Please bare in mind that although all our parts are known to be fully functional, no further guarantees are offered. 


Q2.    Why does the part not come with a full guarantee?

A.    We guarantee that the part is not DOA. (Dead On Arrival)  The manufactures do not guarantee their parts unless they are installed by known qualified engineers that they have sold to. Even then, there are strict conditions. This is because a good part can be instantly destroyed by another fault in the set. Therefore, we can not pass on any guarantee to you unless it is fitted by us.
New parts are assumed to be in perfect working order. All used parts supplied by us have been tested and are known to be of satisfactory working order. 


Q3.    The majority of your parts say that they are used. Where did they come from ?

A.    Most of our parts are acquired from the manufacturer from sets that have failed quality control. This means that one board has failed but all others are known to be good. As they are not originally boxed as a spare part but have been fitted into a set,  it is illegal for us to state that they are new. However, most of our products have had very little life and can be regarded 'as new' for all intense and purposes. Other parts have been taken from sets that are fully functional but have had screen failures. 


Q4.    I think I have found the part I need. How do I know it is the correct one?

A.    Part numbers that we provide are either the manufacturers part number and/or labels printed on the panel. If you are still unsure, we can provide detailed photographs to help with compatibility. Please Contact Us and ask for further information if required.


Q5.    I have found the part number I need on the list but the manufacturer / model / chassis number is different.

A.    Manufacturers usually provide parts to be used in many other models/makes of equipment. The list of models/chassis is probably only one of many the part is used in. If you are unsure about compatibility then Contact Us and we will do our best to confirm it's use. Please bare in mind that if you decide to purchase, then discover that it is in error, then you will not be able to claim a refund.


Q6.    How can I pay for the part?

A.   At present, we can only accept Cash, Cheque or PayPal.
Cash is only recommended if you are collecting. 
Payment by cheque will mean a delay in dispatch until it is cleared into our bank account. This usually takes 3 working days upon receipt. 
PayPal usually means the item is dispatched within 24 hours.


Q7.    Can I order a part over the phone?

A.    Not at present. You can call us to check availability but all orders need to be confirmed in writing ( an email ). You can do this by using the Contact Us form. We will reply confirming availability and total cost depending on which method of payment you choose.


Q8.    How do I use PayPal?    Acceptance Mark

A.    Once you have confirmed to us, via an email, that you want a part, then an email will be sent to you from PayPal requesting payment. If you have a PayPal account then a simple reply is all that is required. Otherwise, then details of your credit card will be required. This will be via a secure transaction and will be guaranteed by PayPal. This does not incur any extra cost to you if you are in the UK.

Q9.    How much is postage & packing?  

A.    Postal costs depends on weight. Packages are sent either Recorded, Next Day Special Delivery or via DHL for heavy items. All require a signature as proof of delivery.

0 to 250g = £ 3.50 Recorded
250 to 500g = £ 6.50 Next Day Special - Tracked
500g to 1Kg = £ 8.40 Next Day Special - Tracked
1Kg to 2Kg = £ 9.25 Next Day Special - Tracked
2Kg + = £ 12.00 DHL Courier 1-2 Days

All international sales are individually priced.


Q10.    Do you sell to any country?

A.    Unfortunately not. We can only send parts to the UK, EU, North America, Australia & New Zealand. Other countries may be available. Please ask.


Q11.    I do not live in the UK. How does that effect payment?

A.    P&P to other countries and/or currency exchange rate will be confirmed prior to transaction. PayPal surcharges may apply and depends on which country you are from but are typically 5% of total cost.


Q12.    Can you help me with any problems I have changing the part?

We will do our best to help non engineers but please bare in mind that most of these parts are not 'plug & play'. Without using the correct setting up procedures, then the part may well be damaged. If you are not qualified as a TV/Electronics Engineer then you are still welcome to purchase from us but getting somebody suitably qualified to do the installation is highly recommended.


Q13.    Will you except any returns?

A.    Only if an error has occurred on our part. We will replace the item if possible or the cost of the item will be refunded in full. All our parts are security coded.

All our parts are known to work when fitted and set up correctly. We can not take any responsibility whatsoever for any further damage that may occur by fitting our replacement parts, whether to the part supplied or associated panels within the equipment.

When you purchase from us, it is assumed that you have read these FAQs and understood them. If you have any reservations, please purchase elsewhere.

Additionally, we can not be held responsible for any damage that may occur, in whatever form, by downloading software or following our advice, either via this site or verbally.
