If you require anymore information then please feel free to contact us on 01622 664500

No need to book a repair, you can just drop in the item if you wish. Contact & location details are here.

Difficult question. It depends on many things. The TV Repair Price Guide will give you some idea but the easiest thing to do is give us a ring with the make & model and what the fault is and we will try to give you a better idea. What we really need to do though, is get your set into our workshop so we can give you a proper diagnosis and cost. This does not mean any commitment on your part whatsoever.

No. Initial diagnosis is free if you bring your set to us.
Written estimates that are required for insurance purposes are charged @ £45.00 which is usually refundable from your insurer.

Yes. Usually a three months guarantee is given but only on the specific repair that has been carried out. Occasionally, the term may be shorter or longer depending on the parts used.
LED backlight replacement usually comes with a 1 year guarantee but all terms will be confirmed when we quote for the repair.

This depends on the fault. If we can, we like to turn around jobs in 24 - 48 hours. Parts not in stock, means a few days delay. Occasionally, parts have to be obtained which are 'out of stock' with our suppliers / manufacturers, in which case we will keep you informed of the likely repair date.

Unfortunately not. We only repair at our workshop as we are not geared up for home visits.

We do not usually offer a collection/delivery service. We will however, try to help people who can not bring their set to us but this will incur a charge.
If you are local then there will be an upfront charge of £35.

This has now become our No.1 question.

LED TV: Unfortunately new TV screens are very expensive and usually equate to around 80% of a replacement new set so not an economical repair as far as we are concerned.

However, there are companies that are able to supply used screens for newish sets but demand far outweighs supply so it’s a bit hit or miss. All we can do is open up your set to get the part number and try to source one for you. There is no charge if we are unsuccessful.

Laptop & Mobile Phone Screens: We can not help with these as we do not stock the parts or tools to do this. Contact a local computer or mobile phone repair shop.

We specialise in Plasma, OLED & LED LCD Televisions but we can repair other types of equipment. Give us a call to see if we can help.

This is the 2nd most common question we are asked.

Firstly, it does not benefit us to repair an item at excessive cost to you, you will never call back and we need to maintain our excellent reputation.
Secondly, we don't do anything without your approval. We will always discuss the fault and cost with you before you are presented a bill.
Thirdly, we will give you an honest opinion as if it were our own equipment taking into account age, condition and estimated cost of repair, as to whether to recommend repair or replacement.

If we can repair for less than half the cost of replacement and guarantee the unit, then we feel that we've provided a service for you that you will be happy with.
For example, an LCD TV that produces sound but no picture usually costs under £150 to repair. If the set is a throwaway food chain TV then is going to be written off. If, however, it is of a good make and replacement would cost you £300 - £500 then it is well worth repairing. If the repair requires a full set of backlight LEDs then it will come with a 1 year guarantee.

Regrettably that is not a service we provide. We only do repairs.

We do not advise on faults. However, although our parts shop was formally for professional engineers only, we do now sell to the public if you have been advised which part is at fault. Please read this before purchasing parts from us. What you should know before you buy!
